Well, I finally got back into the Buick, and started to think about all my buddies online. Life has just been so busy....I swear I'm over-programed. What did I miss? I was hoping to get back before WaterBoy started his hurricane forecast. Can't miss that.
Unfortunately, a couple of low points for the Buick community. https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/the-passing-of-a-friend-brad-conley.390608/ https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?posts/3479386/ The High spot! This year's GS Nationals is going to be fantastic! John Jr and the Team have really worked hard to make this year a great event! Welcome back. Troy
Have you missed two Penguin seasons? you need to catch up if you missed it. https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/help-my-penguins-are-driving-me-crazy.305687/page-51 Troy
Brad Conley passing... that is terrible news. He was a very familiar sight on this forum. Last time I took a break from the car/forum, John Kemper passed... a buddy from St. Louis back when I was living in that area. I had been traveling a lot for work at the time and didn't even know he was gone until I logged on. Sad news for sure. Thanks for the update.
So many, and now another one… With such a large number of members, it’s really something that we all know each other like brothers.
^^^ If this is not the greatest argument, second to "It's all about the Buicks and the People that love them" to do whatever it takes to attend this year's event, then I cannot reason with you. I will go, because one year will be my last year, or the last year for someone I should have tried to meet... It's only a little time and money. If I can do it on a very limited income, almost everyone else can. (What, you gonna leave it all to your descendants to attend down the road?) This thing, dies with us, if we do not sow a field that will produce a harvest after we are gone, to see it continue.
Welcome back Ryan! Unfortunately, they're predicting a banner year for hurricanes this summer. I guess Dave, what's my last name?, from WFUP will most likely be quite busy! Hope you and your family are doing GREAT!!!
A bottle of Coconut Rum and some ice cubes go well in a survival kit. Seriously - Every year the state and county governments get their panties in a wad about hurricanes. They preach survival kits, evacuations, and just about anything else relating to weather. Do they really think that I would leave my 20-mile inland house that has impact-resistant windows, a roof that meets or exceeds the latest Florida wind mitigation standards, and a whole-house standby generator, just so that I can join a parking lot on I-75, watching my gas gauge drop? Hurricane or not, I ain't goin' nowhere.
Welcome Back Ryan! God Bless Bill https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...ar-transport-hauling-open-or-enclosed.614419/
